On August 7, 2024, the New Myanmar Foundation, endorsed a statement together with other 183 civil society organizations  honoring the revolutionary forces combatting the military regime led by Min Aung Hlaing. The statement acknowledged the vital support of ethnic armed resistance groups for the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) and praised their strategic victories, including the capture of key military bases, as significant milestones in the fight for democracy.

We also recognized the efforts of civil society in supporting the resistance, protecting displaced people, and ensuring the continuation of basic services, while commending military personnel who did CDM to adhere to international rules despite coercion from the regime.
