Protection Facilitation

The program aims to strengthen human rights networks and advocacy on the endeavors of human rights defenders (HRDs) within Myanmar. In collaboration with partner CSOs inside the country, the program is implementing human rights defense and promotion activities; education and awareness raising, documentation, protection of HRDs, networking, and advocacy.

Our Services

Legal Aid Cash Support

Burmese individuals residing in Mae Sot, Thailand, and encountering legal issues relating to legal documents, domestic violence, child labor issue, labor issues, women rights issues. The program with the coordination with legal aid providing organization in Mae Sot, provide lawyer fee/legal aid advisor fee for the individual facing legal issues.

Protection Cash Support

Those individuals facing ongoing legal issues and/or those individuals whose family members are being detained or facing ongoing legal issues are provided with protection cash support for their basic food, prison visit, shelter and/or cash for attainment of legal documents.

Case Management

With close working with NMF’s other program, individuals are forwarded to services such as basic food provision, safehouse, basic healthcare services, mental healthcare services, vocational trainings and job facilitation based on the need of the beneficiaries.

Burmese communities residing in Thailand are eligible to apply.

Benefits:

Legal aid cash support of up to 15,000 THB

Protection cash support of up to 3,000 THB
