Anti-Fraud Policy

This Policy aims to prevent, detect, and address acts of fraud and corruption involving:

  • Staff members holding a NMF letter of appointment;
  • Non-staff personnel, Volunteers assigned and interns;
  • Implementing partners and responsible parties engaged/contracted by NMF and
  • Vendors, Service Contract holders, Individual Contractors

Purposes 

  • To deliver results in an accountable and transparent manner.
  • To attract and retain a talented work force of NMF.
  • To strengthen NMF Staff /Members capacity (Personnel Effectiveness, Motivation and Morale) in order to maintain the NMF’s reputation and national identity).

SAFEGUARDING POLICY

Safeguarding is the responsibility that the New Myanmar Foundation must ensure our representatives and activities promote the welfare of people (especially children, vulnerable adults, and risk beneficiaries) in the communities where we work and do not expose them to the risk of harm including sexual exploitation and abuse. Safeguarding measures seek to prevent situations where individuals can use their power position to abuse or exploit another person.

New Myanmar Foundation upholds safeguarding principles. While we continue to develop our own policies and procedures, we follow this policy document to ensure that our work is in line with best practices.

WHISTLEBLOWING POLICY

WHISTLEBLOWING POLICY

The UN Convention against Corruption and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development 2004 includes whistleblowers protection “Whistleblower protection frameworks, compendium of best practices and guiding principles for legislation”.

It is essential that anyone connected with New Myanmar Foundation who suspects or knows that wrongdoing has taken place, is taking place, or is likely to take place reports their concerns. The Whistleblowing Policy provides protection for the person reporting (where they have reasonable grounds for concern) from dismissal, penalization, victimization, or any other detrimental treatment by New Myanmar Foundation as a result of their reporting.

“New Myanmar Foundation” is an equal employment opportunity company and is committed to creating a healthy working environment that enables employees to work without fear of prejudice, gender bias, and sexual harassment. The Company also believes that all employees of the Company have the right to be treated with dignity. Sexual harassment at the workplace or other than work involving employees is a grave offense and is, therefore, punishable.

“New Myanmar Foundation” seeks to provide a safe and secure environment for the children who participate in our programs and activities directly or indirectly. By implementing this policy, our goals are to protect the children from any harm and provide a clear path of response for staff and volunteers in the event of suspected abuse or neglect.
