The New Myanmar Foundation (NMF), with support from the French Embassy, provided essential financial assistance to U Myo, a dedicated human rights activist from the Mandalay Region. This support enabled him to purchase a motorcycle, significantly transforming his and his family’s transportation options. The acquisition of the motorcycle not only made their daily commute more manageable and efficient but also opened up new economic opportunities. 

By offering taxi services, U Myo could generate an income, which substantially improved his family’s livelihood. This initiative has had a profound impact on their quality of life, providing reliable access to essential services and contributing to their financial stability. The motorcycle has become a crucial tool for U Myo, allowing him to balance his role as an activist with the practical needs of supporting his family. This support underscores the importance of empowering individuals through practical assistance, enabling them to achieve greater economic independence and resilience in their communities.
