Digital Security Training Batch-4
On February 15, 2024, the New Myanmar Foundation conducted the fourth digital security training session, with 21 participants, including 7 males and 14 females, from diverse backgrounds. This session aimed to provide attendees with crucial knowledge and practical skills to safeguard their digital information and online presence effectively. Through discussions, participants explored topics such as encryption tools, secure communication practices, and best practices for digital hygiene.
The training fostered an inclusive environment that encouraged peer learning and collaboration, ensuring all participants, regardless of gender or professional background, gained the necessary skills to navigate the digital landscape securely. The session achieved a balanced gender ratio, with females comprising 67% of participants, and it included discussions on encryption, real-world digital security incidents, and best practices for digital hygiene. Post-training follow-ups will assess participants’ application of skills to ensure sustained adoption of security best practices. This initiative supports the safe and sustained promotion of human rights causes by enhancing participants’ ability to navigate digital challenges effectively, exemplifying the Foundation’s commitment to empowering activists and civil society members with essential digital skills.
