New Myanmar Foundation celebrated various New Year activities. Firstly, on 30th December 2022. NMF celebrated New Year’s Eve dinner from 5 to 8 PM with the intention of relieving the stress of revolutionary family members, building close and strong friendships among revolutionary friends in Maesot, and continuing our Spring Revolution until we achieve a true democracy for our country, Myanmar. People on the occasion were pro-democracy and human rights activists, personnel from organizations for refugees, labor organizations, and organizations for women’s protection, ethnic leaders, people who volunteer in various New Myanmar Foundation’s activities including educational staff, health professionals, language training teachers, staffs from basic food support, and relief and resettlement program and New Myanmar Foundation personnel.
On 31st December 2022, residents from NMF’s safehouses also arranged a New Year’s Eve celebration with the intention of forming good relationships with other families in the neighborhood to soothe their worries and become more united with one another.
Moreover, NMF gave a New Year gift of 1,000 Baht to 37 CDM teachers at the Spring Bridge Online School and 23 volunteer medical doctors who have been working for NMF’s Telehealth program. Another CDM from the sewing machine training was also provided with a New Year gift of 1,000 Baht for her contribution to the training.
Finally, the sewing machine training coordinator, Khin Hla Htay, and the team donated blankets to 20 Burmese families living near the training center as a New Year present on behalf of the New Myanmar Foundation and Women Lead Resource Centre-WLRC.
