Female Hairdressing Training (Batch 3)
The New Myanmar Foundation conducted its third Female Hairdressing Training Batch from November 15, 2022, to December 30, 2022, benefiting 12 internally displaced women (IDPs). Over five weeks, participants were taught fundamental skills in shampooing, hair cutting, straightening, curling, digital curling, hair dyeing, and hair straightening. The training combined practical instruction with hands-on field practice, ensuring that the women not only learned theoretical aspects but also applied their skills in real-world settings.
This comprehensive approach aimed to empower the IDP women with vocational skills, enhancing their employability and providing them with the means to support themselves and their families. The program’s success is reflected in the confidence and proficiency gained by the participants, positioning them for better economic opportunities and fostering a sense of independence and self-reliance. This initiative underscores the foundation’s commitment to supporting vulnerable communities through skill development and practical training, contributing to the broader goal of social and economic empowerment for women in crisis situations.
