Resilience Training (July 12 -July 14, 2022)
From July 12 to July 14, 2022, the New Myanmar Foundation (NMF), with the support of FHI 360, conducted an online Resilience Training for 81 Human Rights Defenders and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) inside Myanmar, consisting of 39 males, 40 females, and 1 other. The training aimed to enhance psychological resilience, provide stress and trauma management strategies, and foster a supportive community network.
Participants engaged in interactive lectures, virtual group activities, mindfulness exercises, and practical role-plays, resulting in a deeper understanding of resilience, improved mental well-being, and stronger community ties. Despite challenges such as technical issues and psychological barriers, the training successfully equipped participants with essential coping strategies and fostered a supportive network, with recommendations for continued support and similar initiatives to further strengthen the resilience and well-being of Human Rights Defenders and IDPs in Myanmar.
