Women and Land Ownership Rights Training (Batch-8)
On June 18, 2022, the New Myanmar Foundation (NMF) and Women Lead Resource Center (WLRC) organized an online training titled “Women and Land Rights (Batch-8)” with the objective of enhancing women’s land ownership and participation in various sectors. The session, conducted from 16:00 to 18:00 Thai Standard Time, was led by Daw Ohnmar Aung Min as the lecturer and 21 participants attended.
The training commenced with an opening speech by Dr. Sann Aung , setting the tone for the event. Daw Mya Nandar Thin facilitated a discussion among landowners regarding land conditions, where participants shared their agricultural experiences and challenges. Daw Ohnmar Aung Min then delivered a detailed presentation on Gender-Based Violence and emphasized the benefits of strengthening women’s land rights. U Thein Naing Oo concluded the meeting with a closing speech, expressing gratitude to the 21 participants for their active engagement. The ceremony concluded promptly at 18:00 hours.
