Women and Land Ownership Rights Training (Batch-7)
On June 4, 2022, the New Myanmar Foundation (NMF) and its partners, the Women Lead Resource Center (WLRC) organized an online Zoom meeting titled “Women and Land Rights Training (Batch-7)” aimed at increasing women’s ownership of land and their participation in various sectors. The training, conducted from 16:00 to 18:00 Thai time, featured Daw Ohnmar Aung Min as the lecturer. The session began with an opening speech by Dr. San Aung, followed by Daw Ohnmar Aung Min’s comprehensive presentation on gender discrimination, CEDAW, and women’s rights, focusing particularly on land ownership.
The 34 participants engaged actively, discussing societal gender discrimination and issues like health and social support for women affected by conflict. Daw Ohnmar Aung Min addressed participants’ questions, fostering a productive dialogue. The meeting concluded with expressions of gratitude to all attendees, wrapping up at 18:00 hours.
