Sewing Machine Training Batch 6 (May 21 to May 25, 2022)
With the support of Australia Embassy, the New Myanmar Foundation (NMF) and its partner, Women Lead Resource Center (WLRC), successfully conducted the Sewing Machine Training Batch 6 from May 21 to May 25, 2022, with 10 participants (5 males and 5 females) attending the free Basic Motorized Sewing Course. The training provided comprehensive instruction on essential sewing skills and covered critical topics including human rights, migrant worker rights, women’s rights, Thailand Labor Law, government departments related to Thai workers, and common problems between employers and workers and ways to solve them. This holistic approach ensured that participants were not only technically proficient but also well-informed about their rights and responsibilities.
Following the completion of the training, all 10 participants successfully transitioned into the workplace, demonstrating the effectiveness of the program in enhancing both their practical skills and their understanding of important legal and social issues. This batch stands as a testament to the foundation’s commitment to empowering individuals through education and vocational training.
