On September 18, 2024, the New Myanmar Foundation (NMF) held an online memorial session commemorating the 17th Anniversary of the Saffron Revolution, with 28 participants in attendance. The event aimed to honor the legacy of the 2007 uprising and draw connections between that historic movement and the ongoing Spring Revolution. Speakers with direct experience in the Saffron Revolution shared their insights, highlighting the critical role of religious leaders, non-violence, and moral conviction in the fight for democracy.
