New Myanmar Foundation extends its deepest condolences on the passing of Padoh Naw Zipporah Sein, the former Vice President of the Karen National Union (KNU), a former leader, and current counselor of the Karen Women’s Organization (KWO), who passed away at the age of 69 on July 24, 2024. Padoh Naw Zipporah Sein served as the General Secretary of the KNU from 2008 to 2012 and as Vice Chairperson from 2012 to 2017, dedicating her life to the liberation of the Karen people and the nation.

Her unwavering courage and commitment have been truly inspiring. We mourn her loss deeply and offer our sympathies to her family, knowing her legacy will continue to inspire us all.
