Digital Literacy and Security Training (Batch 5)
The New Myanmar Foundation (NMF), with the support of Canada Embassy, conducted a five-day online Digital Literacy and Security Training (Batch 5) from November 21 to November 25, 2022, attended by 35 participants (15 males and 20 females). The training aimed to enhance the digital literacy and security of advocates for democracy and human rights in Myanmar. Participants engaged in interactive sessions that included pre-and post-tests, PowerPoint presentations, and participatory planning handouts, encouraging active participation and feedback.
The curriculum covered operating systems, cyber security, internet functionality, VPNs, email services, Google applications, encrypted messaging apps, social media security, and website building. Despite challenges such as intermittent internet connectivity and power disruptions, participants reported significant improvements in digital security knowledge, better information protection skills, and enhanced efficiency in digital tasks. Monitoring through surveys indicated positive outcomes, with participants expressing satisfaction and acknowledging the practical benefits of the training in their personal and professional endeavors.
Training Photos will not be posted due to the security consideration.
