Sewing Machine Training Batch 11 (July 8 to July 12, 2022)
With the support of Australia Embassy, the New Myanmar Foundation (NMF) and its partner, Women Lead Resource Center (WLRC), successfully conducted the Sewing Machine Training Batch 11 from July 8 to July 12, 2022, with 11 participants (2 males and 9 females) attending the free Basic Motorized Sewing Course. The training program not only taught essential sewing skills but also covered crucial topics such as human rights, migrant worker rights, women’s rights, Thailand Labor Law, government departments related to Thai workers, and common problems between employers and workers along with their solutions.
This holistic approach ensured that participants were well-equipped with both technical skills and an understanding of their rights and legal frameworks, enhancing their readiness for the workplace. Upon completing the training, all participants successfully entered the workforce, demonstrating the effectiveness of the program in facilitating employment and empowering individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge for their professional development.
