Sewing Machine Training Batch 8 (June 15 to June 20, 2022)
With the support of Australia Embassy, the New Myanmar Foundation (NMF) and its partner, Women Lead Resource Center (WLRC), conducted the Sewing Machine Training Batch 8 from June 15 to June 20, 2022, with 12 participants (4 males and 8 females) attending the free Basic Motorized Sewing Course. This course provided not only practical sewing skills but also essential knowledge on human rights, migrant worker rights, women’s rights, Thailand Labor Law, government departments related to Thai workers, and common problems between employers and workers along with their solutions.
The comprehensive training aimed to empower participants with both technical abilities and awareness of their rights and legal frameworks, thereby enhancing their overall readiness for the workforce. After completing the training, 11 of the 12 trainees successfully entered the workplace, underscoring the program’s effectiveness in facilitating employment and personal development.
