Sewing Machine Training Batch 3 (April 21 to April 26, 2022)
With the support of Australia Embassy, the New Myanmar Foundation (NMF) and its partner, Women Lead Resource Center (WLRC), conducted the Sewing Machine Training Batch 3 from April 21 to April 26, 2022, with 10 participants (5 males and 5 females) attending the free Basic Motorized Sewing Course. The course covered essential topics such as sewing skills, human rights, migrant worker rights, women’s rights, Thailand Labor Law, government departments related to Thai workers, and common problems between employers and workers and ways to solve them.
Additionally, in the evenings, participants received training in Eco Print techniques, a vocational science, and further human rights education. After completing the course, 3 participants found work in product manufacturing, 2 in a garment factory, and 1 with the New Myanmar Foundation, while the remaining participants have not yet entered the workforce.
