Sewing Machine Training Batch 2 (April 4 to April 19, 2022)
With the support of Australia Embassy, the New Myanmar Foundation (NMF) and its partner, Women Lead Resource Center (WLRC) conducted the Sewing Machine Training Batch 2 from April 4 to April 19, 2022, with 10 participants (5 males and 5 females) attending the free Basic Motorized Sewing Course. The training covered sewing skills and essential topics such as human rights, migrant worker rights, women’s rights, Thailand Labor Law, government departments related to Thai workers, and common problems between employers and workers and ways to solve them.
After completing the training, participants were placed in various jobs: 2 in O Chit Yar bag sewing, 4 in ECO Print technology and dyeing/painting, 2 in product production, 2 in a garment factory, and 2 who cut sweet cotton at home.
