Digital Security Training (July 19 to July 21, 2022)
From July 19 to July 21, 2022, the New Myanmar Foundation (NMF), with the support of FHI 360, conducted a comprehensive Digital Security Training for 80 human rights defenders (39 males ,40 females and others 1) inside Myanmar. The training aimed to enhance participants’ digital security awareness and equip them with practical skills to safeguard their sensitive information and communications. Topics covered included risk assessment, secure communication practices, data protection, device security, safe internet usage, and incident response protocols.
Participants engaged actively in practical exercises and group discussions, applying learned skills to real-world scenarios. This initiative not only raised awareness about digital threats but also empowered human rights defenders to mitigate risks effectively, enhancing their safety and resilience in advocating for human rights within Myanmar’s challenging digital landscape.
