On February 1, 2024, New Myanmar Foundation (NMF) and its partner organization, Youth Empowerment (YE) organized a Conflict & Mine Awareness Sharing Session inside one state of Myanmar to commemorate the third anniversary of the military coup attempt in Myanmar.
This event aimed to address anti-dictatorship , conflict resolution, and mine awareness, emphasizing the empowerment of youth in times of adversity. The session began with a solemn opening ceremony, including a minute of silence to honor those affected by the coup and ensuing conflicts. A representative delivered an opening speech on the importance of resisting dictatorship and the role of youth in fostering positive change and building a democratic society.
The event concluded with a mine awareness session, where experts shared crucial information on identifying and avoiding landmines in conflict-affected areas, ensuring the safety of individuals in the region. This event successfully provided a platform for empowerment, uniting participants in their shared goal of advocating for promoting safety.
