World Children Day Awareness Activity (20 November,2023)

On November 20, 2023, the New Myanmar Foundation (NMF) and its partner group celebrated “World Children’s Day”activity  in a village of one township , inside Myanmar . The event provided nutritious meals to over 70 children and engaged them in interactive activities to raise awareness about their rights, focusing on education, healthcare, protection from violence, and child participation. Despite challenges such as accessing remote areas and addressing children’s past trauma, the campaign successfully increased children’s understanding of their rights and garnered appreciation from parents. 

Activities included food preparation and distribution, and educational discussions, resulting in a positive impact on the community. Moving forward, NMF aims to continue organizing similar events, develop culturally sensitive educational materials, and collaborate with other local groups to provide additional support, such as psychosocial assistance and access to education. The campaign underscored the importance of protecting children’s rights and our efforts for supporting children in need.
