White Campaign (Feb1, 2024)
On February 1, 2024, the New Myanmar Foundation (NMF), and its partners organised the White Campaign in Thailand and Myanmar to commemorate the third anniversary of the coup in Myanmar. The campaign, marked by participants holding white flags, aimed to raise awareness and unify people against the Myanmar Fascist Dictatorship. Key messages included calls to “Ban Jet Fuel Exports to Myanmar Fascist Dictator,” “Stop Blood Taxation,” “Stop Paying Tax to Junta,” and promote the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) to garner widespread resistance.
The campaign saw active participation from various population segments, including women and youth, using social media to amplify their messages. Despite challenges like regime suppression, the campaign demonstrated the strength of a united front against oppression and highlighted the need for continued efforts in the fight for justice, democracy, and human rights in Myanmar.
(Due to Security Reasons, we did not post the campaign photos inside Burma.)
