Digital Security Training Batch-3
On January 15, 2024, the New Myanmar Foundation conducted Digital Security Training Batch 3, led by Mr. Christopher, focusing on enhancing participants’ digital resilience and safeguarding sensitive information. This three-hour session featured introductions, focused training, refreshment breaks, and interactive discussions. The primary objective was to equip participants, particularly human rights activists and civil society members, with the knowledge and skills necessary to protect their digital presence. The diverse cohort included 12 females (60%), 5 males (25%), and 2 unspecified individuals (15%), fostering inclusive discussions. Participants engaged in dynamic discussions on digital security concepts, real-world applications, and practical strategies.
The training achieved significant outputs by heightening awareness and enhancing participants’ capabilities to protect digital information, empowering them to continue their advocacy work securely. The inclusive participant ratio highlighted a commitment to gender diversity, and sustainability efforts, including feedback integration and post-training follow-ups, aim to ensure long-term impact. Digital Security Training Batch 3 not only met its immediate objectives but also laid the foundation for ongoing engagement and a more secure digital landscape for human rights activities in Myanmar.
