Shelter Program
Since March 2022, New Myanmar Foundation has been running a Safe House program for people who are trying to achieve democracy.
Those who come alone to Mae Sot can stay safely in our safe houses since there are separate male-only, female-only and family rooms.
Kitchen appliances, beds, necessary furniture, Wi-Fi, and other utilities are provided in the safe houses.
Safe houses are provided for a period of 3 months.
Who is eligible:
Human rights defenders (CDMs, MPs, and activists against the military coup)
Note: Those who have already received safe house provisions from other organizations can not apply.
Benefits:
Three months stay in Safe House (temporary shelter, protection, basic facilities, and essential services)
